Baldwin Park was established in the early 2000s and now boasts a population of around 7,000. Originally it was a naval training base on 1,100 acres adjacent to Winter Park to the south east. It is a mixed-use community of upscale dwellings, sited around beautiful Lake Baldwin with 57% owned properties, single family and condominiums and 43% rentals.
Inspired by its neighbor, Winter Park, and several other legacy Orlando neighborhoods, Baldwin Park has the vibe and style of a small hometown, with front porches, sidewalks and an accessible downtown with shopping, nightlife and fine dining, and several community pools. Blue Jacket Park is a great park for people and pups, as this is a very dog friendly community and the park is considered an excellent off-leash dog park. If your pooch like to swim, there is another dog park along the lake for all to enjoy.
Baldwin Park is a great place for biking, it is connected to the City of Orlando’s bicycle network of over 45 miles of off-street trails, over 50 miles of signed routes and more than 265 miles of bicycle lanes. The closest trail to Baldwin Park is the Cady Way Trail, which begins at the Fashion Square Mall to the west and winds through Orange county, connecting with the Cross Seminole Trail.
Lake Baldwin is certainly the most prominent lake, but there are several smaller ones in this community to enjoy, along with the many parks and public open spaces. Nicely positioned near Orlando and Winter Park, it also enjoys the benefits of access to the acclaimed Winter Park Schools. It is a brief ride to Orlando International Airport and close to outlet shopping and Walt
Disney World and Universal Studios.
